![]() January
is Behavior/Training Month
Each January at the Animal Care Center we focus on companion animal behavior and training. This focus primarily includes canines, although some feline behavior issues may be addressed.
Every year thousands of dogs and cats are euthanized in this country due to unresolved behavior issues. We believe that through training and socialization we can make a difference and decrease this number.
Dog training has become somewhat of a subculture these days worldwide. As pet owners, we understand the importance of living with a well mannered dog (or cat) and realize that training is a necessity. Since trainers and training techniques are numerous and can be confusing to most of us that just want a well behaved companion, we've compiled a list of trainers and behaviorists in the area that we feel comfortable recommending to you.
If you are experiencing any training or behavioral issues with "Fido", or just want to start your new pup or rescued dog out on the right paw, ask us for a recommendation.
