DECEMBER

December is Holiday Awarness Month:

Christmas cats

It's hard to believe it, but the holiday season is here again!  It's time to start planning those holiday parties, wrapping Christmas gifts, and putting up and decorating the Christmas tree.  As busy as these times are we need to remember that our furry little friends don't understand what's going on around them.  these fun, happy, and sometimes stressful times can also hold some dangers to their health.

Remember when cooking your holiday dinner or dishes for the party that a lot of foods can be harmful to your pet.  Turkey and gravy along with other foods this time of year tend to be a little too rich for some tummies.  The bones from the turkey are also very harmful to our furry friends.  So, as much as you want to give them a little "treat", it is not worth the risk.

When decorating the tree and wrapping the presens keep in mind that ribbons, tinsel, wrapping paper, candy, and Christmas lights can be very tempting to curious animals, especially cats.  All that stuff is very shiny and attracting but if swallowed can have some very harmful effects.  So, as you're preparing for the holidays, enjoy, just keep your pet's health and wellbeing at the top of your holiday list.
